WINTER WEATHER IMPACTING SHELTER HOURS

Due to current weather and travel conditions in metro Atlanta, the LifeLine Community Animal Center shelter and clinic will now be closed on Wednesday, 1/22. Staff are still onsite caring for the animals. We intend to resume normal hours on Thursday, 1/23, but will keep our community updated.

Meera Solomon

Director of Volunteer Services, LifeLine Community Animal Center
Meera Solomon found a deep sense of purpose in caring for homeless pets when she became a volunteer and foster parent with LifeLine Animal Project in 2016, before joining the staff at Fulton County Animal Services in 2018.

Over the years, she’s grown in appreciation for how interconnected the overpopulation of homeless pets in our shelters is with the systemic issues we face as a society. Prior to joining the staff, Meera worked as a licensed oncology massage therapist in Atlanta and continues to serve the oncology community.

In her role as Director of Volunteer Services, Meera provides resources, support, and ingenuity to the staff and volunteers that make up LifeLine’s Volunteer and Foster programs and is inspired every day by the compassion and tenacity of our community. Meera lives in Atlanta with her dog and cat and a rotating cast of fosters.
