LifeLine invites YOU to become a member of the LifeLine Legacy Circle!

The LifeLine Legacy Circle recognizes our donors who have taken the meaningful step of including LifeLine Animal Project in their estate plans, through wills, living trusts or other planned gifts. Members understand the importance of providing future support for the organization, enabling us to continue providing critical services and programs that
will benefit Atlanta animals in need.

If you have made a bequest or other estate gift, but have not already notified us, we encourage you to share your wishes with us. All LifeLine Legacy Circle members are recognized on our donor wall located in the main lobby of our Community Animal Center and are invited to an annual event to celebrate their support and share updates on our programming.

Bequests & Estate Planning

A charitable bequest is a gift made to a charity pursuant to your Will or Revocable Trust upon your death.  You may update your Will or Revocable Trust at any time to include a charitable bequest.  In the event circumstances change and you no longer desire to make the gift upon your death, you maintain the ability to change the provision in your Will or Revocable Trust at any time while you are living and have capacity to make financial decisions.

The charitable bequests we receive from our donors allow us to continue our mission of supporting Atlanta’s animals.  There are a few common ways that donors bequest gifts to LifeLine Animal Project: donating a percentage of your estate, donating a specific dollar amount, or donating the remainder of your estate after other commitments have been met.  Here is sample language you may consider adding to your estate planning documents to reflect this strategy:

Suggested bequest language:

“I give, devise or bequeath (insert $ amount, % of estate, or all of my residual estate) to LifeLine Animal Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with its headquarters located at 3180 Presidential Drive, Atlanta, GA  30340, to be used for its general purposes.”

Legal name: LifeLine Animal Project

Legal address: 3180 Presidential Drive, Atlanta, GA 30340

Federal tax ID number: 01-0599278

There are online resources available for you to create your own legal will, some of which are free.

If you have any questions about making a bequest to LifeLine Animal Project, please contact Chief Development Officer, Jennifer Eddy, at 571-643-8790 or jeddy@lifelineanimal.org.
