WINTER WEATHER IMPACTING SHELTER HOURS

Due to current weather and travel conditions in metro Atlanta, the LifeLine Community Animal Center shelter and clinic will now be closed on Wednesday, 1/22. Staff are still onsite caring for the animals. We intend to resume normal hours on Thursday, 1/23, but will keep our community updated.

Volunteer Memories & Moments

LifeLine volunteers are like no other!

As we move through another year of incredible challenges, we wanted to take a second to show our gratitude for the things you’ve helped us accomplish by sharing two volunteer memories and a photo album of great volunteer moments.

Thank you for all of the dogs walked, pups bathed, kittens fed, cats coerced, and fosters snuggled with.  Here are some pictures of other pretty special moments. We are so lucky to have all of you on the LifeLine team.

Diana Bennett
DeKalb County Animal Services & Community Animal Center

"My favorite moments are those when cats like Juice come into the shelter with no trust in humans, and then turn around.

For over 7 months, Juice flattened his ears and hissed at people. One day, it was discovered that Juice LOVES creamy treats so much that he would crawl into our laps to lick it off the tube. Now, Juice can be petted while he enjoys his treats in a lap! The next best moment will be when someone adopts Juice who will love him as much as his shelter friends do.”

Ben Farrey
DeKalb County Animal Services

“The Volunteer Coordinator gave me extra support via a 1-on-1 mentor shift towards my training to become a Level 2 volunteer. And, when Marvin the puppy befriended me!”
