A LifeLine vet tech cares for small kittens in the clinic

Vet Tech Appreciation Week

LifeLine’s veterinary technicians (vet techs) play a crucial role in the medical services that we provide to over 40,000 pets within our shelters and the community every single year. And this week is vet tech appreciation week! We’re taking a quick moment to thank our vet techs for everything that they do for Atlanta’s animals.

A Day in the Life

Our vet techs have an important list of responsibilities that they carry out each and every day. Their daily routine includes preparing pets for spay/neuter surgery, administering medication and vaccinations to dogs and cats and assisting foster parents who have vet appointments for their foster pets. But their day can include so much more. This vet tech appreciation week, we want to especially acknowledge all their hard work!

average number of spay/neuter surgeries performed at FCAS, annually
average number of spay/neuter surgeries performed at DCAS, annually
average number of pets seen at the CAC Clinic

Lifeline vet techs are HEROES. Thank you for doing an amazing job keeping Atlanta’s shelter pets healthy and safe and getting them ready for their forever homes!

Say Congrats!

Head over to our Facebook page through the post below, and leave a comment of gratitude during vet tech appreciation week! We are so thankful to have these vet techs on our lifesaving team.
