LifeLine Animal Project Debuts NEW Banfield Foundation Mobile Clinic at Healthy Pets Fulton on September 30

Up to 150 additional pets to be served weekly with low-cost or free vet services.

ATLANTA, GA – (September 26, 2023)  LifeLine Animal Project, which manages operations at both the Fulton and DeKalb animal shelters, is excited to be the recipient of a new mobile vet clinic that will make its debut at the Healthy Pets Fulton event on September 30 at Washington Park (102 Ollie St. NW). LifeLine will provide free vaccinations for pets, free spay/neuter vouchers, microchipping, pet food, pet supplies and more! No registration is necessary for these first-come, first-served events. The vehicle will be used at the Healthy Pets events to provide free exams, microchips and vaccines for cats in an enclosed space for safety. Thanks to this generous donation by Banfield Foundation, LifeLine will also be able to provide additional veterinary care for pet owners in the Pets for Life program who lack access to transportation, affordable and free wellness care to neighborhoods in DeKalb and Fulton County,  and also  on-site assistance for large scale cruelty investigations as part of LifeLine’s Fulton County Animal Services operations.

Banfield Foundation has been a tremendous partner in helping make preventative care possible for pets who need it most. They will also be providing additional staff and free vaccines at the Healthy Pets Fulton event, from 10am to 2pm, or while supplies last.

“By bringing these services into our under-resourced communities, we can help more people and pets get access to the care they need,” says Rebecca Guinn, CEO of LifeLine Animal Project.  “When we make care accessible, we keep pets and families together where they belong.” Ideally, the mobile clinic will serve 150 additional animals each week with free or reduced-cost veterinary services and vaccines.

LifeLine will hold a second Healthy Pets fall clinic in DeKalb County on Saturday, October 28, at Wade Walker Park (5585 Rockbridge Rd SW, Stone Mountain, GA) from 10am-2pm.
