WINTER WEATHER IMPACTING SHELTER HOURS

Due to current weather and travel conditions in metro Atlanta, the LifeLine Community Animal Center shelter and clinic will now be closed on Wednesday, 1/22. Staff are still onsite caring for the animals. We intend to resume normal hours on Thursday, 1/23, but will keep our community updated.

Vaccinated and Loved: National Pet Vaccination Month

March is National Pet Vaccination Month. LifeLine offers affordable care options all year round to keep pets healthy with ongoing support from Petco Love! They reached an incredible milestone in November 2023 of providing 2 million free vaccines to pets in need through free vaccine clinics and partnerships with organizations like LifeLine.

Importance of Vaccinations

A healthy pet is a happy pet! Especially when bringing home a new pet to your family, you want to have a good picture of their health and ensure they stay protected as they grow older.

Common illnesses among pets can be contagious the same way common illnesses among people are, but they are also entirely preventable. It’s important that this care should be accessible to all pet families so that pets can follow a regular routine and pet owners can ensure they stay up-to-date on vaccinations.

Petco Love has put together a sample vaccine schedule to give pet owners an idea of how often they should take their pets in for vaccinations. If you need help with care, but are not located in the Atlanta area to receive LifeLine’s services, you can search for free vaccine clinics in your area using their Search Vaccine Locations tool!
