LifeLine Animal Project Hosts Healthy Pets Fulton Event on October 17

Free Vaccines, Spay/Neuters, and Pet Supplies for Local Families

ATLANTA (October 6, 2026) — LifeLine Animal Project will host one of its Healthy Pets Fall events on Saturday, October 17, offering free veterinary services and essential pet supplies to help Fulton families keep their pets healthy and at home.

The clinic will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Atlanta Technical College (1560 Metropolitan Parkway SW, Atlanta, GA 30310). The event is sponsored by the Buckhead Rotary Club and is in partnership with Atlanta City Councilmember Antonio Lewis, Banfield Foundation, Fulton County Government and Petco Love.

LifeLine will provide free vaccinations, spay/neuter vouchers redeemable at LifeLine clinics, microchipping, pet food, collars, leashes, and more. Free food and refreshments will also be available for attendees. Services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required. Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers.

“Families are feeling the rising cost of veterinary care and pet supplies,” said Timyka Artist, Senior Media Relations Manager at LifeLine Animal Project. “People love their pets and want to do what’s best for them, but sometimes the cost of basic necessities can make that difficult. These Healthy Pets events help the community keep their pets healthy and, most importantly, keep pets at home with their families.”

LifeLine’s Healthy Pets events have served thousands of families and pets across Metro Atlanta every year, helping preserve the human-animal bond despite financial barriers to care. An event for DeKalb County residents will take place next month. For details, visit LifeLineAnimal.org/healthy-pets.

ABOUT LIFELINE ANIMAL PROJECT

Founded in 2002, LifeLine Animal Project is Georgia’s largest animal welfare nonprofit and the organization that operates the public animal shelters for Fulton and DeKalb counties – the only open-intake shelters serving those communities. LifeLine helps more than 46,000 pets each year, taking responsibility for every animal that enters the public shelter system. Beyond shelter operations, LifeLine leads the region in prevention-focused animal welfare, operating Georgia’s largest spay/neuter program and providing free and low-cost veterinary care through two clinics and a mobile unit. LifeLine’s community programs support pets and families with food, supplies, and access to care so that animals can remain safely in their homes whenever possible. LifeLine created the lifesaving infrastructure that Atlanta needed and continues to strengthen the system that allows animals to leave shelters alive.
