Dearest Gentle Reader: LifeLine Animal Project Announces Two  “Bridgerton”-Themed Kitten Showers

Seeking fosters and adopters as kitten season 2026 approaches

ATLANTA, GA – (April 7, 2026)The whole “Ton” is abuzz with delightful news: LifeLine Animal Project is hosting a most charming kitten shower and foster orientation at two locations. The organization, which manages the county animal shelters for Fulton and DeKalb counties, formally requests the pleasure of your company on Sunday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at LifeLine’s Community Animal Center (3180 Presidential Dr, Atlanta GA 30340) and on Sunday, April 19, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Fulton County Animal Services (1251 Fulton Industrial Blvd, NW, Atlanta GA 30336).

This season’s true “diamonds” are fluffier, smaller, and considerably more mischievous. They require warm laps, gentle hands, and temporary homes in which to flourish. Guests are invited to shower these tiny nobles with much-needed supplies for kitten season—including bottles and nipples for bottle-fed kittens; Fancy Feast turkey and chicken wet food; Gerber baby food; and Royal Canin Mother & Babycat food—and remain for a foster information session led by the most esteemed members of Shelter Society.

While it is widely known that no two diamonds are alike, they do share a few curious traits—tidbits that might be considered gossip, were they not entirely true:

  • “Kitten season” is closely tied to warmer weather, when feline families begin to grow.
  • Kittens as young as five months old can become pregnant.
  • During her lifetime, an unspayed female cat can give birth to as many as 100 kittens.
  • Serving as a kitten foster requires frequent bottle feedings—an endeavor known to inspire unexpected bouts of pure joy.

Until we meet again, Dear Reader, should you have questions or wish to declare your interest in fostering, please visit lifelineanimal.org/foster-cats.
