Community service is a great way to get people involved in giving back to the community. LifeLine welcomes volunteers seeking to fulfill community service hours for school, work, a civic organization, or court-mandated hours. You will be in charge of any documentation, including tracking your volunteer hours on your own time sheet as well as in our volunteer database. Court-mandated volunteer hours require documentation from the court system showing the charge(s), which may not include violent offenses or animal cruelty charges. Court-mandated volunteer hours must be performed onsite at one of our shelters or official off-site events. Please allow at least 72 hours for turnaround on verification documentation from your Volunteer Coordinator.
Please arrive before orientation begins. Late arrivals will not be allowed in! Paper applications will be available to complete in person at orientation if you are unable to complete the digital version.
If a CSW program participants want to complete hours at more than one LifeLine location, they MUST attend an orientation at each location where they plan to work.
We do not accept anyone who has been charged with violent crimes (e.g., animal abuse/cruelty, assault, battery, etc.). Individuals must be 18 years or older to participate.
To sign up for orientation, start by clicking on one of the orientation dates below. Then, complete the application in the event description and register for orientation!
