[CHAMBLEE, GA, May 22, 2024] – LifeLine Animal Project is proud to announce a new partnership with DeKalb County aimed at providing ongoing support to pet owners facing financial hardships within the community. This partnership marks a significant step forward in addressing the needs of pet owners and their beloved companions.
In recent years, a growing number of pet owners in DeKalb County have encountered financial difficulties, making it challenging for them to afford essential care for their pets. These programs will provide much-needed assistance for pet owners free of charge and on an ongoing basis. LifeLine is excited to grow these programs with a new, proactive partnership and funding from DeKalb County, which will enable us to expand our efforts and provide ongoing support to pet owners who need it most:
“We are excited about the opportunity to further collaborate with DeKalb County to address the pressing needs of pet owners in our community,” said Rebecca Guinn, CEO of LifeLine Animal Project. “These programs, now expanded through funding from DeKalb County, will continue to provide vital assistance to those facing financial hardships, ultimately improving the well-being of both pets and their owners.”
Last month, LifeLine Animal Project assisted a record-breaking 1,283 animals and their families during the Healthy Pets DeKalb spring clinic at Honeysuckle Park, offering free vaccines, microchips, and spay/neuter vouchers.
Expanding upon the success of this event, LifeLine Animal Project is delighted to continue to support these programs ahead of the busy summer season, when the number of animals coming into our shelter typically peaks.
