Dr. Gidion is a graduate of The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.  After growing up in Japan, she studied to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, particularly surgery, helping to develop techniques in CO2 laser surgery.  She realized shelter medicine was her calling, wanting to help those that needed it the most.  She travels as often as possible, enjoys gardening, all things Star Trek, and is a professional pumpkin carver.
