ATLANTA, GA – (September 16, 2026) LifeLine Animal Project is bringing more than 125 adoptable dogs from its three shelters to Union Hill Park (1590 Little Pine Trail) in Alpharetta on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for its second Super Adopt-a-Thon of the year. Adopters who find their match can bring their new dog home that same day. Dog adoptions will be FREE and include a pet that has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

The Super Adopt-a-Thon will bring dogs from Fulton County Animal Services, DeKalb County Animal Services, and LifeLine’s Community Animal Center together in one location outside of the traditional shelter environment. Whether you are looking for a playful adventure buddy, a couch companion, or a gentle furry friend, there will be dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities waiting to meet their new families. 

In addition to free adoptions, the event will feature local food, merchandise, photo ops, and pet vendors, giving dog lovers a chance to enjoy a beautiful day while meeting dogs in need of homes. 

“We believe pets belong in homes, not shelters,” said Timyka “Tiki” Artist, Senior Public Relations Manager for LifeLine Animal Project. “We’re asking the community to come out and help us give these amazing animals the second chances they deserve.”

Among the dogs who may be available at the event, if they aren’t adopted or placed in foster beforehand, are some staff and volunteer favorites:

Mahala: A cuddly, gentle sweetheart who leans into people like she’s known them forever. She’s great with kids and other dogs and is easy on leash.

Pothos: This guy has a GIANT head and an even bigger heart. He loves pets and will squeeze his booty right into your lap for snuggles.

Ruff Rida: A cool customer with an affectionate side. He loves giving kisses, enjoys toys, knows “sit,” and is easy to leash.

Stanley Poochie: A fun, energetic boy who loves treats, exploring and getting outside. You’ll be captivated by his award-winning good looks and personality.

The first LifeLine Super Adopt-a-Thon, held in March, helped more than 50 dogs find homes. LifeLine hopes to build on that success with the September event and make it easier than ever for people to save a life and find the right dog for their family.
