ATLANTA, GA – Warmer weather has brought an influx of animals to LifeLine Animal Project’s DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) and Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS) shelters, and over 1300 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in their care need loving homes.  To save lives and encourage adoptions, LifeLine is waiving adoptions fees on all animals during their “Clear the Shelter” event Saturday, August 17, through Monday, August 26!  The fee-waived adoptions include the pets’ spay/neuters, microchips and vaccinations at no additional cost!

During July, over 1800 animals came into DCAS and FCAS.  LifeLine is hopeful that the Clear the Shelter event will be as successful as their June fee-waived event, where 807 animals found homes during a 10-day period.

Participating shelters include: DCAS, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee, FCAS, 860 Marietta Blvd NW in Atlanta and the LifeLine Cat Adoption Center, 3172 E Ponce de Leon Ave in Scottdale.
