Lifeline Dogs

ATLANTA, GA – (March 13, 2019) Although the forecast is calling for clouds and rain this weekend, you can add some sunshine to your life by adopting a pet for free during LifeLine Animal Project’s #YourCityYourAnimals LIfesaving Adoption Event at DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS)! All dogs, cats, puppies and kittens may be adopted for free this Friday, March 15, through Sunday, March 17, at DCAS, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee.

According to DCAS Shelter Director Kerry Moyers-Horton, immediate adopters or fosters are needed for 75 animals. “Last month we had more animals coming into the shelter than leaving, so we are offering free adoptions and asking the community to help save Atlanta’s animals by adopting or fostering a pet,” she says.

All free adoptions include the pet’s spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip – a $250 value.  To view animals available for adoption, or for the shelter’s address and phone number, please visit
