Honoree Spotlight
Honoree Spotlight

Through LifeLine’s service in the Fulton and DeKalb County shelters and in our broader community, we are privileged to work with many individuals who have significant impact on animal welfare in Atlanta.

This year, we are proud to honor these leaders as good humans

The Public Servant:
Chairman Robb Pitts

Robb Pitts, Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, has been a friend to the animals throughout his decades-long tenure in public service. Chairman Pitts championed a new animal shelter for Fulton County and has delivered on that vision, with the new state-of-the-art shelter design and construction project now underway.

The Philanthropist:
Anisa Telwar Kaicker

Anisa Telwar Kaicker, Founder and CEO of Anisa International, has been an important supporter of LifeLine's work since the organization's very first days. Her inspiring giving has been and continues to be transformational for Atlanta's animal welfare.

The Change Maker:
Susan Neugent

Susan Neugent, President Emeritus and former President and CEO of Fernbank Museum of Natural History, has been a devoted advocate for DeKalb County's animals for nearly twenty years. In her role as a member of the DeKalb County Animal Services Advisory Board, she was a driving force behind the county's commitment to building a desperately needed new shelter.

The Leader of the Pack:
Jason Flatt

Jason Flatt, President and Founder of Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue, is a tireless advocate for the neediest of Atlanta's significant pitbull population. Jason has committed his life to this misunderstood group of dogs and is one of LifeLine's most reliable rescue partners.
