We Appreciate Our Volunteers!

It's Volunteer Appreciation Week!

This week is National Volunteer Week, so we paused and reflected on the hundreds of volunteers who spend countless hours caring for our homeless pets. At LifeLine Animal Project, we are so grateful and thankful for our volunteers and acknowledge that we could not do this without them! Check out our volunteer appreciation message from our team at LifeLine.

A Message from Nick Hemenway, Director of Volunteer Services

Dear LifeLine Volunteers and Fosters,

I want to thank you for all you do! Although our lives have changed significantly, you continue to persistently support homeless pets in LifeLine’s care.

March 26, 2020 marked my first full year as LifeLine staff and it’s been a truly rewarding experience. I’ve never encountered volunteers as dedicated and tenacious as animal welfare volunteers and fosters. It’s been truly amazing to see the herculean efforts of our community come together during my year with the organization and now during this pandemic; with volunteers continuing to go above and beyond to help the animals and hundreds of fosters stepping up to provide love and care.

Thank you!

From matchmakers working with our adoption and foster teams to help more than 1,900 animals find positive placement outside of our shelters within the past month, to all the volunteers providing much-needed socialization for our animals through play groups, dog walking, and cat visits, to our marketing volunteers helping to raise funds for us and promoting our work and our adoptable animals within their digital networks, please know your endless dedication never goes unnoticed.

Thank you!

Our successes are only possible with your help. On behalf of the staff and animals at LifeLine, please accept this letter as our wholehearted appreciation for every volunteer and foster who has contributed to making LifeLine a beacon of hope for the future of lifesaving in animal welfare.

Very truly yours,
Nick Hemenway
Director of Volunteer Services
