Lifeline Dogs

ATLANTA, GA – (March 13, 2019) Although the forecast is calling for clouds and rain this weekend, you can add some sunshine to your life by adopting a pet for free during LifeLine Animal Project’s #YourCityYourAnimals LIfesaving Adoption Event at DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS)! All dogs, cats, puppies and kittens may be adopted for free this Friday, March 15, through Sunday, March 17, at DCAS, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee.

According to DCAS Shelter Director Kerry Moyers-Horton, immediate adopters or fosters are needed for 75 animals. “Last month we had more animals coming into the shelter than leaving, so we are offering free adoptions and asking the community to help save Atlanta’s animals by adopting or fostering a pet,” she says.

All free adoptions include the pet’s spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip – a $250 value.  To view animals available for adoption, or for the shelter’s address and phone number, please visit DeKalbAnimalServices.com.

Free Adoptions until Super Bowl Sunday on Hundreds of Select Pets at both DeKalb and Fulton County Animal Services

ATLANTA, GA – (January 17, 2019)  LifeLine Animal Project is asking for the support of the Atlanta community to help get animals out of the Fulton shelter and into loving homes before upcoming renovations. In celebration of the upcoming Super Bowl, the shelter is offering free adoptions on select dog and cat MVPs (most valuable pets) at the Fulton County Animal Services shelter, now through Super Bowl Sunday!  An MVP is any dog or cat with a football sticker on their cage card. MVPs are already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and can leave the shelter today!  About 100 MVPs will also be available at LifeLine’s DeKalb County Animal Services shelter which is caring for a higher number of animals than usual and is also in need of adopters.

The renovations at the Fulton shelter, which are being conducted by Fulton County government to address rodent issues, will involve removing all ceilings in the front of the building and replacing them with an open concept to prevent any further issues.  This will provide a better experience for guests, cut down on odors and improve the overall shelter environment.

To adopt a shelter pet and save a life, please drop by Fulton County Animal Services, 860 Marietta Blvd in Atlanta, DeKalb County Animal Services, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd in Chamblee or the LifeLine Dog House & Kitty Motel, 129 Lake Street in Avondale Estates.  For more information, please visit LifeLineAnimal.org.
