ATLANTA, GA – (May 14, 2019) Aiming to help keep pets out of the shelter and with the families who love them, LifeLine Animal Project will be providing free veterinary services and pet supplies at “Healthy Pets DeKalb” on Saturday, May 18, 2019. This first-come, first-served event will take place from 10 am to 2 pm at Wade Walker Park, 5585 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30088, and no registration is necessary. LifeLine will be providing DeKalb County residents with free vaccinations for their pets provided by licensed veterinarians, vouchers for free spay/neuters to use at LifeLine’s Spay & Neuter Clinics, free microchipping, free pet registration, free dog and cat food, free collars and leashes and much more!

At LifeLine’s last Healthy Pets event in April, over 460 pets and their owners came out, despite the rain, and received free pet services. Healthy Pets events are one of the innovative ways that LifeLine addresses the root causes of animal homelessness and seeks to reduce the number of animals coming into Atlanta’s animal shelters. The events improve the quality of life for pets and their families and help prevent unplanned litters.

Over 2,600 pets were served at Healthy Pets events in 2018. LifeLine also provided free veterinary care to an additional 3600 pets through their Pets for Life Program in 2018.
