Our Healthy Pets Fulton and DeKalb free vaccine events were a great success!
LifeLine Animal Project's Healthy Pets events help pet owners in underserved communities receive needed services for their beloved pets. This month, the events were held at Wade Walker Park in DeKalb and Washington Park in Fulton. A total of 714 pets recieved free vaccines, microchips, food, collars and more! LifeLine also provided pet education and successfully signed up 269 pets for free spay/neuter services at the LifeLine Spay & Neuter Clinics!
These events wouldn’t have been possible without the dozens of dedicated staff and hardworking volunteers who did everything from setting up and managing the crowds to filling out paperwork and handing out water.
Kevin, a pet owner at the event said, "Thank you for holding this event. I got my dog Remy after someone threw him out a car window as a puppy. Now he is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and will be neutered at LifeLine’s clinic next week. I really appreciate your help!"
The resources we provide at our Healthy Pets events improve the quality of life for both pets and their families, help prevent unplanned litters and help decrease the number of animals ending up in shelters. It’s one of the great ways LifeLine serves the community and focuses on holistic solutions to the challenges of the large homeless pet population.
We thank all the volunteers and employees who showed us they were “In” by spending their Saturday helping to make these events possible.
Together, we can make Atlanta a lifesaving community.
