It takes a special person to adopt a senior dog, and LifeLine Animal Project Volunteer Mari Fridenmaker is one of those wonderful people.
About a year ago, Mari learned about LifeLine’s Dog for a Day program. Mari and her husband, Steve, love animals and wanted to be around them, but they just didn’t think they were ready to adopt or foster a dog. So when Mari learned about LifeLine’s Dog for a Day program, she thought it was the perfect alternative, and she signed up to volunteer.
Once upon a time, two year’s ago, a fifth grade teacher named Tif decided it was time to add another dog to her family. She already had a small dog named Manly who she often took to school with her, and she wanted Manly to have a doggie sibling. So Tif went down to Fulton County Animal Services to look for the perfect dog, and within minutes of meeting him, she fell in love with Gary.
