On February 25th, our Fulton County Animal Services officers, along with the Atlanta Police Department, found a seven-month-old puppy with duct tape covering its entire face, eyes and neck. She was found in the woods in terrible condition and immediately brought into our care. We named her Eve.

I am so very excited to announce our first ever capital campaign to bring a new resource to the community and build a new home for LifeLine. We are planning on opening the doors to a new LifeLine Community Animal Center in early 2019; a center that will go "beyond the shelter" by taking a holistic approach to address the root causes of animal homelessness.

Spring is coming blog post

Spring is on its way and we couldn't be more excited! When the weather gets warmer in Atlanta, that means our pups get out of the shelter more through our Dog for the Day, Sleepover and foster programs! We want to make sure we set our volunteers and dogs up for success this Spring and we need your help!

Last Friday, March 23rd, we held a Cuddle Buddy contest on our Facebook page! We were on a mission: to find the cuddliest, snuggliest foster pet in the ATL and award them the Gold Medal in Cuddling! And so that's what we did...

Pancho 1Saving every healthy and treatable animal that comes into our DeKalb and Fulton County shelters can be a costly undertaking. Although LifeLine receives funding from the counties to run the shelters, we must raise an additional $2 million to cover extended shelter care, community outreach programs, marketing programs and extensive medical costs.
