Radish came into our care after our DeKalb County Animal Services location rescued 16 dogs from a dog fighting ring.

Radish quickly became everyone's favorite, with her sweet demeanor and gentle temperament. It was obvious that Radish had a hard life, but she was resilient. And each day that she was with us, she got better and better. And trusted people more and more.

After a few weeks in our care, one of our amazing employees decided to take Radish home as her foster, so she could get some extra attention and much-needed love.

Radish got to spend her days nestled in big, fluffy pillows.

And romping around a big back yard.

And learning what toys are.

And that not all humans are bad.

After a few weeks in her foster home, Radish got the greatest surprise of them all! One of our rescue partners, Pit Sisters, stepped up to take Radish into their care, so she can continue on her journey to her happily-ever-after!

Our volunteers, fosters, donors, staff, rescue partners and supporters all had a hand in Radish's recovery. Her inspiring story reminds us that every life is worth saving. That no matter an animal's past, there is always hope for a bright future.
