Hurricane Irma is on its way to Florida and potentially parts of the southeast, including Atlanta. Many Florida evacuees have already made their way to Atlanta, but are finding that there are no pet-friendly hotels left. In an effort to prepare for Hurricane Irma and assist those who have evacuated with their pets, LifeLine's Fulton County Animal Services, along with the Red Cross, will be providing an off-site shelter in Atlanta for pets of evacuees. Additionally, we are currently evacuating all animals from our Fulton County Animal Services shelter, in preparation for Hurricane Irma. Here's how you can help:
- Donate Supplies: Right now, our biggest needs are newspaper, bungee cords, towels, thick tape and wire crates. You can drop off at our shelter located at 860 Marietta Blvd NW in Atlanta. You can also donate items from our Amazon WishList here.
- Donate: Support our efforts by making a donation today. Any amount helps and will go to support those affected by Hurricane Irma.
- Share with your networks: Share this article with your networks to join our lifesaving efforts.
- Stay up to date: Please continue to check this page for updates, as needs will change throughout the next few days.
