Our LifeLine county shelters get an average of 40 - 60 animals per day. From owner surrenders to cruelty cases to strays off the streets, we take care of more animals than any other animal welfare organization in Georgia.

With nearly 16,000 animals entering our Atlanta shelters each year, we've had to become creative in our adoption and enrichment programs. One such program is the "LifeLine on the BeltLine" program, which happens monthly. During this event, we walk the Atlanta BeltLine with around 30 dogs from all three of our LifeLine locations. It gives the dogs extra exercise, exposure and socialization, while giving our wonderful volunteers the opportunity to interact with our community. The LifeLine on the BeltLine event is an intergal part of LifeLine and our mission to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals in Atlanta.

This month, the event was quite a success! Check out the photos below.

All of these animals are available through LifeLine at our Avondale Estates shelter location! If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.!
