If you don't follow us on Facebook or Instagram, you probably haven't heard about our #SpoilASenior Day! Each week, we spoil a senior from one of our shelters in Atlanta. These days are filled with Bully Sticks and Puppachinos and lots of kisses. We started this campaign to not only increase exposure for our much-deserving senior pets, but to also dispel common myths about senior pets: that they are too old or too sick to make a great family pet.

This week, we took out Peggy, a senior Pitizen from our DeKalb County Animal Services location. We had such a blast on the Decatur Square!

Our first stop was at Furry Tails Pet Shop for some treats, Bully Sticks and a HUGE stuffed squeaky toy that ended up being the hit of the day!

Once we felt we had enough toys and treats to last us the entire day, we headed to a few restaurants on the Square, including Twains, Cakes and Ale and Brick Store Pub! Brick Store was definitely the highlight of the day, as they gave Peggy lots of bacon and lovin'!

In just a few short hours, Peggy quickly became the hit of Decatur.

Although Peggy is one of our senior pups, her age hasn't slowed her down one bit! She loved her adventures all over Decatur and kept up with us the entire day! Now all Peggy needs is a foster or forever home!
